We are seeking a bankruptcy/restructuring associate with 6-8 years of experience at a major law firm. Candidates should have substantial experience representing creditors or debtors in chapter 11 cases or workouts. Ideally, candidate will be comfortable with both litigation and transactional aspects of restructuring, but we are open to candidates with more specialized experience. In particular, we are looking for motivated mid-to senior attorneys who seek out responsibility and are familiar with taking a leadership role on matters and running teams.

New York, New York Job Description The New York office of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP has an immediate opening for an associate with 3-6 years of experience to work in our Insolvency and Restructuring Practice Section. The ideal candidate will have experience in both in-court and out-of-court restructurings, representing creditors, debtors and/or other significant stakeholders, and possess excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills, exceptional writing skills, a solid knowledge of the principal phases of a bankruptcy case, and some exposure to the corporate and finance aspects of consensual out-of-court distressed restructurings. It is required that the candidate have a strong academic background and be admitted and in good standing as a member of the New York State Bar.
